The Riverside Heights Civic Association officer elections will be held at the next RHCA Membership Meeting on Monday, February 12th at 6:30 PM at the Franciscan Center, located at 3010 N Perry Ave. Positions to be elected are President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and Crime Watch Coordinator. Please see below for information about elections procedures. You must be an RHCA member to vote or run for a position.

2015 RHCA Executive Board Elections


The Riverside Heights Civic Association elections are right around the corner! If you or someone you know is interested in running for an elected position on the Executive Board, now is the time to start campaigning.  Each candidate will have the opportunity to speak at the next RHCA membership meeting, which will be held on Monday, June 22nd at 6:30 PM at the Franciscan Center, located at 3010 N Perry Ave (near Duran Park on the river).  The election will be held at the Annual Ice Cream Social on Saturday, August 22nd at the Franciscan Center.  More details on that to come.
An abbreviated description of each of the elected officer positions follows: 
President: Official representative of RHCA, chairs general and executive RHCA meetings, maintains working relationships with local law enforcement and governmental agencies regarding RHCA matters.
Vice President: Assists President in representing RHCA and other duties of office, in the absence of the President assumes the duties of that office.

Secretary: Maintains all communications for the Civic Association, including: taking minutes at the membership and executive meetings and maintaining all RHCA social media and e-mail accounts.
 

Treasurer: Maintains all accounts and membership records, receives and disburses all funds, collects and records annual membership dues, prepares regular RHCA financial statements.

Anyone interested in running for a position on the Executive Board and/or voting in the election must be a current dues paying member of the RHCA and comply with all related membership requirements.
Annual dues are $12 per voting member for all RH residents, or $25 for each business located within RH. To pay your annual dues please visit the payment page on the Riverside Heights website located at http://www.riversideheights.org/p/join-rhca-online.html
We need you! The RHCA relies on annual membership dues to pay for community events such as the annual Spring Fling Potluck and Egg Hunt and the Ice Cream Social, as well as RHCA operations. If you haven’t done so already, please join today!
More information on the upcoming election will follow.  Absentee voting will be available for members who cannot attend the election meeting.  Those interested in running for an elected position should send an email to the RH Elections Supervisor by no later than Monday, August 10th, 2015.  Please be sure to include your name, address associated with your membership, and the position for which you intend to run.
